China Unicom is a piece of shit company, the 3G modems in beijing work just fine, no problems at all (but that's another company). but dsl services that use China unicom can't access shit outside china, I will try to switch operator asap. had the same problems with the mobile phone, again, china unicom sim card. lost connections, garbeled speech on many locations in Beijing, switching to China Mobile and all problems gone.
